what is going on?!

so my buddies 90 b2200 had been running pretty shitty he couldn't even get it over 3000 rpm floored, just runnin real ruff. so the othe r day he gets in it and it won't even start. so we changed the fuel filter cause it was super clogged went to start it and it starts but wont run unless the gas pedel is floored and then it only will turn maybe 500 rpm. any ideas? i told my friend if anyone has ideas its the guys on bscene!

sounds like a blown headgasket to me but could be an aray of all kinds of things. first thing to my mind though is hg

I would try the cat or the plugs first...

yes a very common problem is the first cat stopping up.

Check the timing or the distributer.

Yea a while back i thought my head gasket was blown having the same problems. Let my truck set for weeks then my dad came over and heard it and was like "well lets chop that cat off" and sure enough fire it up and a very missed rumble comes from the tail pipe!

I'll look at it if you want. I was having kind of the same problem and found gas in vac lines off my carb that wasn't supposed to be there. Carb was shot!

almost sounds to me, like a hg too or even a weak fuel pump
