Head Rebuilding Questions

Hey guys, The truck is starting to smoke just a little on startup if i part it on a hill. If i park it on flat and level ground it is fine. She is blowing just a hint of blue smoke on start up and sounds like the valve seals are going bad from what I had with my last problem. You guys helped me out very much then, So now I'm back with another question.

When i pull me head to take it to the machine shop, I'm going to have to buy a head gasket kit, and new head bolts right? is this gasket kit going to be ok for the rebuild. Its going to get rebuilt stock, no power upgrades.



Is there a Thread thats shows the removal installation on this head in a b2200 on this site? I looked but didnt seem to find one. Just thought you guys would know off the top of your head.

its pretty simple to do, and yes get a new headgasket set, do not reuse the old one. you dont really have to get new head bolts depending on how much they have been streched. if you do get new ones go w arp. they have very good quality stuff. im in the process of doing the same right now, let me know of anything or help you may need.
