Firstly, I am new here, so forgive me if I stray into blasphemous territory, but.....

I have a 94 B2600i extended cab.
I have yet to see it, but I have opportunity to obtain the complete TD27 engine and drivetrain of a Nissan Terrano [Pathfinder] and am contemplating the pros and cons of putting this motor into my truck.

1. Has anyone done it?
2. If so, what is needed in the way of conversion plates etc?
3. Is it a viable option to drop the complete powertrain [motor plus trans] into the vehicle?

i'm guessing you aren't from the u.s. or canada lol??? that would be a pretty bad ass swap. and i have no idea how you'd do it.

No, dwell far to the south of North America.

welcome to the scene 5773!

I'd say (without knowing the specifics of this engine) you'd be better off just swapping in the whole drive train, engine tranny, and using the engines stock ecu & wiring harness. It will be a challange, but would be sweet once complete!

after checking with the venerable wikipedia, Nissan‘s TD27 is an l4 Direct Injection Diesel Engine that produces 84hp and 176nm of torque and mated with a 5–speed manual transmission.

sounds like a good candidate for a stand alone ecu with a turbo & intercooler, you could get gobbs of power.....

only down side to the swap, in stock form, you have less hp & torque than the stock 2600i engine, now if it was modded as I said above, that would be sweet!
