My problem now is that I have an oil leak I cant find/stop. I replaced the valve cover gasket, but still have it. Here are pics for reference.

See how it leaks onto the manifold? Any ideas on that? Could the valve cover be warped?

looks like it is coming out of that bolt for some reason. can you crank it up and let it run and look for the leak?

or better yet, go buy the dye and black light. if you weren't so far away i would do it for you. i have everything here. but poor the dye in the crankcase and drive it for a little bit. then put on the glasses and shine the light and you will be able to see where it is coming from.

I thought that bolt too, but couldn't figure out why the manifold bolt would leak oil. Can you get that dye stuff at a regular auto parts store? I tried looking while running, but all I saw was the smoke.

Hmm....

yeah, oreillys or autozone, any autoparts store should have the kit.

kinda hard to tell from the pics......degrease it really good let it dry then fire it up again and see exactly where it is comming from

I'll try that. Any other ideas?

todds advice is the best place to start.

i know when my distributor o-ring went out it was leaking oil all over the place.
