I just bought a gasket kit on ebay and am going to replace my head gasket and valve seals and cam seal and whatever other gasket I find on the way because im steaming from the exhaust. While I'm doing this I want to replace the water pump, timing belt, and thermostat. Any suggestions before I tackle this?

Do I have to remove the timing cover, dist, or anything other than head, exhasut mani, and intake in order to replace the head gasket?

Any words of at least some what wisdom are much appreciated, Ian

Just a pic of how Im going to run my exhasut until I can get some new pipe and what not (my old exhaust had rust holes in the pipes and bolts wouldnt come out at all)

My mechanic did my water pump, so I don't know what brand he uses, but he does use NAPA a lot. For the timing belt I'd always go with Mazda, Gates, Goodyear, or NAPA, as I wouldn't get cheap there. I use a standard Stant thermostat. And a lifetime warranty Hayden fan clutch.

when i replaced my water pump there was 2 diff. kinds of pullys. one has square teeth and the other has round teeth just make sure you get the right one. and yes replace the idler pullys i didnt and now they squeek like mad.
