hi guys from across the pond,

my 2600i has started to run on just 2 pots, , i am getting a good strong spark and the plugs are new, the problem seems to be with the injectors, as the plugs are dry when removed, i have had a listen to the injectors and they are`nt firing, or are very weak, the problem started without warning as it was running great, it developed over night..i have also checked the ecu, i have voltage there, i did`nt have time to check at the injector end yet, i just seems a little strange that 2 pots have gone down at the same time.

im guessing that the firing order is 1342...

looking from the front of the engine the pots that have gone are the second from front and the rear most.

maybe someone has had a similar problem in the past and can point me in the right direction, or do i just pull the injectors and have them tested?

thanks in advance guys

ps
why did they fit the steering wheel on the wrong side...

2600is are known for computer issues after a certain point, causing missing, actually stopping dead without warning etc. What happens is one of the resistors actually leaks a bit of acid and it burns a small hole in the motherboad causing electrical issues. Before replacing the injectors,I would pull the computer ,open it up and see if u see a small burned spot on the motherboard. There is a guy in Florida on ebay that will repair the board for 150 US if u send it to him.Cheaper than a new computer or new injectors.Oh,they put the steering on the wrong side for u and us so that only 50% would be confused at any given time.Putting it in the middle would have meant that 100% of us would have been confused all the time.Lol.BJ

double check at the injector for the proper voltage, if none is present, it's probably like BJ said the ecu, if it has proper voltage, then the injectors are stopped up or bad...

as far as I know on the steering wheel issue, it doesn't really matter what side it's on as long as you drive on the right side of the road....lol!

thanks guys, i did take the ecu out of the case and it all looks ok, will try the voltage at the injectors..

thanks for the info on the steering wheel...lol
