B2500 Ball Joints

I believe my passenger side ball joints have crapped out.
The sleeves are split and it makes a nice bang noise when ever
I hit a pavement height difference greater than 1".

According to the service manual and from what I've seen in person,
they are not bolt ons and look to be part of the upper and lower
arms. Can anyone else confirm?

Are these user serviceable parts or must I goto the "stealer" for service?

they are probably pressed in . IF You can get the arms off your truck take em to pepboys or a mechanic (don't go to the dealer unless you really really have to) and ask them to press those out and press in the new ones .it might cost ya 50- 75 but it beats the hell out of paying acouple hundred !!
