Are you asking how to actually set the pinion or find what it should be? If its already good at ride height.. but not good while your dragging, thats just a downside of a 2link. I have a 2link too, and I drag alot.. so my pinion's off while dragging.. I just kind of found a medium and set my ride height pretty damn low, since id either ride low or drag, dont really see myself going over 2mph with it lifted any higher, thats just for getting into driveways, etc. good luck man

do you have any pics of your 2 link...r ur bags on the inside of rails or outside

My bags are over the axle. I didnt see any need to mount on the bars.. more lift=more pinion change (which you WILL have with a 2link) those are just the facts, Id suggest behind/under the axle brackets.. they keep everything clean under the bed too.. but dont ride as bouncy without shocks, and wont give you so much un-needed lift. I have pics, but for some reason the gallery I have the hosted on is down lately.. if you hit me up on aim and I happen to be at my dad's house where I have the pics saved, I'd be glad to send you them. Good luck man

btw, scary sig

if you do behind below axel brackets you will have to cut a section for ur axel and other things. 2 links suck.. just do it over leaf until u can afford the 4. 2 links = bad pinion change and twist the hell out of mazda frames. Ask RussD on ssm about his old mazda w/ a 2 link.

I agree save up for a 4link, or hell a nicely designed 3link.

where are you mounting your link bars bro

mine is mounted on the stock leaf perches

my bars are straight 2x2 bars with a 3.5 degree angled block facing the angle to the front of the truck

pretty much when you look at my truck from the axle to the carrierbearing (the 2nd half of the driveshaft) it is straight. it's been working so far, havent replaced u-joints yet, same u-joints when i bought the truck last august, adn they are the same u-joints when the guy replaced them in 98

to help out a little also, u can shim the carrier bearing, you have to do this anyway because even with a 3 or 4link, the middle u-joint (carrier bearing) will always shake, because it will get at such a bad angle, no matter how good you set your 4link angle on the axle ujoint...some ppl forget that part

imo, on a 2peice driveshaft, 2links work just as good with exception of the forward/rearward movement it gives

yeah..i was going to mount them to the bars on the inside of my frame, jus cause i wanted super lift, ive got a friend with a 2linked mazda and has been runnin bags on outside of frame for 8 years, but he can only run 16's with low pro's, but now,i think im gonna put them behind the axel, ive already moved my gas tank to the back and i still have plenty of room..... heres a pic of his truck(sfbd)

yea that was my original plan but decided to go ahead and do under the frame with the plans to change it later, didnt do it outside cause i knew i would go bigger than a 16 later on
