Rebuilding frame

I recently discovered a large hole in my frame and I love this lil truck and there is no way I wanna get rid of it! Anyone have a god way to fix this problem? Can I just box frame where the hole is? Should I cut out bad chunk and weld in a new and better piece \? or what is best route?

where is the hole and do you have a pic of this???

The hole is between the front spring mount and body mount. it is about 6 inches long and 3/4 inch wide.

Rear leaf springs....... You know the things that hold truck on axle...... But yes the hole is between leaf spring mount and cab mount

on the inside or outside of the frame

It is on the bottom of the frame facing the ground.

Should I just box the spot where the hole is?
