my brother and i have decided to put monroe air shocks on the back of his ride,

these shocks come with what looks to be a 3/8 threaded port, the line they come with is like 1/8 or some tiny tiny ass little thing, i am wondering if i can just attach a 3/8 fitting and line, run it to valves and a tank OR will the larger line and heavy bursts of air cause too much stress on the shocks?

i know some of you said you ran airshock setups hopefully you can help me out

gracias

i had a buddy who did that..but he also bored out the hole so it'll flow better haha

but yea i think he ran 3/8s, that damn thing was quick as hell lol

Fast air shocks? Air shocks are slow and under heavy use/pressure will blow out. I almost bought a Nissan that was bagged in front and airshocked in the rear. It had NO bed on it and was pretty slow. I was going to use them as well on my mazda, but decided to just bag it. I know it's alot more simple to use shocks, but it's not worth it now that bags are getting cheaper. As to the line I believe there is another fitting you can use but I'm not sure. Hope this helps.

nice, the hole looks pretty big so i won't be messin with that.

im just wondering how long they are gonna last , not that it really matters they only cost me 90 bucks canadian for a pair

i had toxi air shocks on my s10 in the rear, they were fast.. i just ran to 1/2" valves, they worked great. i had 1/2" line coming off them also.

Quit telling people about that.

I bored the hole out 1/8 then went to home depot and had to get some weird ass adapter to fit the threads on the shock but its there, the shocks were pretty quick and did what i needed them to just dont put more than 100 psi in em cause its pretty much as far as it will go then.

Well good luck.

as long as you keep your leaf springs, air shocks work good...wasnt talking about using airshocks as the main source of lift

^^ had leaf springs...went up quick and went down quick with 3/8th valves, thats what i meant

sorry if i mislead

no saying how long they will last with higher pressure, on my ranger, i ran up to 180 in my gabriel air shocks lol...it was mainly for load purposes though, same with my friend who had them in his F150, his was always at 150psi, was stiff, but it was always at that pressure....the gabriels are rated for 200
