I was at the junkyard today searching for parts and found a nice sanden 708 so I picked it up for $30.00 to use as my edc. Valves and rear bags are on their way and I still need a tank of two so it will probably be a couple weeks until everything is up and running. I came across acouple 508's and another 708 but I think from reading that the 708 puts out more air than the 508.
The 708 I got was on a 90 b2200 and the other 708 I saw was on a 92. The 508's were at a different yard and they were on 87 and 88's. I might go back and pick up the other 708 for a spare since it was only $35.00.
The 708's were on the b2200, I got mine off of a 89b2200. And the 708 put out way more than my 508 I had, it even oput my york 209 I had to shame. It pumped alot fast and didnt drag the motor as bad.
Hey laidmazda 87 how did you go about hooking the air line to the compressor? I read somewhere to drill and tap the fitting on the back of the compressor and screw a fitting into it. And what size hose should I use to go to the tank.
