what the topic says would this be a problem if i ran my lower bars in reverse and ran my middle bars foward, only thing i could think of it the pumpkin moving up and down alot if anyone has any information and facts showing the advantages and disadvantages lemme no.

ive got a 50/50 4 link the lower bars run forward and the upper bars run back, the bars are welded to the outside of the axle as appose the pumpkin i can mad side to sides the ride is good but more sensitive to bumps, but im also not running shocks

yea it works, yea ppl use it, but dont dare plan on getting a fuckload of lift or you will have all kinds of crazy shit goin on, picture it,

bottom bars, pull backwards, top bars pull forward, see where they will start pulling away from each other after loads of lift??? what will happen is the rearend will dip down forward in your case causing a pinion angle something like this \___

keep in mind, this is ONLY with crazy lift....if you just set it up for minimal lift like most setups (especially with mazdas) you will be ok just (like any other suspension setup) MAKE SURE you get your pinion angle nice at "ride height" it will be very VERY crucial for your type of setup....

nice thanks fellas for the info, ima have to notch my driveshaft tunnel cause driveshaft is hitting but more than likely ima lower my pumpkin how it is now at ride height, is there alot of pinion change running the set up like this?

yes sir like were its at now lowered all the way down it hits the drive shaft tunnel, so i figured were it sits at ride height when i re-do my 4 link push the pumpkin on the axle downwords a lil bit to reduce me having to re-do my driveshaft tunnel

dude you know your axle and pumpkin is one peice so when you lift the truck the pumpkin is "theoretically" being lowered from the frame/body of the truck

so you "lowering" the pumpkin is like lifting the truck

so, how do you plan on "lowering" the pumpkin

the axle pumpkin is the differential housing, the shit that holds the gears, big round thing in the middle of the axle, where the driveshaft bolts into the flange, thats the pumpkin

or are you talking about pushing down on the flange that the driveshaft bolts into? in that case you'd have to push it down a lot to make a difference, and by the time you have "lowered" the pumpkin, your pinion angle on the driveshaft is -90degrees
