Hey,
So i have this metal sitting in my shed and i think t myself, i could make a good notch out of it..at no charge..... only problem is...what should be the minimum thickness to build a notch out of....its a flat peice i would be cutting out plates and welidning them together...thnx for the help..L88888888r

Stock frame's are 1/8 but pretty much everyone who sells notches sells 3/16's

i made mine from 1/4" plate but i work at a metal fab shop so myne was free if i had to buy it to do it... id use like 3/16 i overkilled myne a bit.. how thick is your metal?

is 3/16 a good choice for any part of the frame ...you dont HAVE to use 1/4 right ... **not to jack your thread**

For torsion brackets i'd deff use 1/4"

Yea mines all built out of 3/16" 2x4 box for the rails..
