Hey boys, I'm in need of your expertise. In april I'm moving out to calgary, and I don't wanna leave my truck behind, so i'm going to drive across the country. The problem is, it rides like a bag of shit right now. The torsions are cranked down, and bumpstops removed in the front. In the rear: 3" blocks, and 2 leafs pulled. ... so far, two of the old nasty shocks snapped...

so i guess my question is.. what should i do for suspension to get out there.. i'm gonna have to put luggage and shit in the back, cause i'm moving... should i just throw the leafs back in, lift er up, and get new shocks?

how cheaply can i put a 2link in? ... i'm not comfortable welding, but i got buddies that do it for a living...... or maybe just some air shocks? for a lil adjustablility? ... p.s. we're on a budget here.

Thanks guys
I'm open to any suggesions

PEACE

throw some air shocks on the back, crank up the torsions and re-align the front

work on your truck when you get to your destination

its cheap to put a 2link in, no more than 100bucks. but it's the other crap that will get you. valves, air tank, air supply, air lines, air bags...might as well just do as i said above, work on the truck when you get to your destination, right now just worry about lifting it up if you're worried about the rough ride

true, but its more than a rough ride i'm worried about... it's a sacrafice i'm willing to make to be low.. however, the frame slaps my axle enough with an empty bed, let alone all the shit i'm moving with me...

.. lifting it is probubly the best answer... but if i threw a 2 link in... do i need an air management system? ... couldn't i just fill the bags to a ride height, and t it off?... and just keep it like that till i get there?

EASY KILLER!!lol jks, i say you just throw some 6 inch blocks in and slam that axle into the frame, weld on some bump stops, for ride quailty and giver shit!!, i drove back and forwards from muskoka and back all summer, 4 ohours each way, and that how my ride was setup, and i had no problem.... put bump stops back into the front if you that worried about ride quality.... as for your air managment question...you could put bags 2 link airline and shit in the back, but i say save up and do it all at once...if you have the bags you will WANT to play, lol, and you couyld fill up at gas stations, but its not worth it...lol n e ways, sorry for the novel!!

i think 67-69 dodge dart air shocks have a stud in the top for mount ing in the front and just put regular air shocks in the back

i took your advice, and ordered some air shocks for the rear, and i got some canadian tire white box specials ... for the front. Got a chrome grill and bumper while i was at it... i'm throwing it all in today, thanks for your helps guys
