so i have researched a little and seen a couple ways of body droppin a truck. my fav is the stock floor one, but i would just channel the body to fit over the frame rails and then have new sheet metal to box it all in on the inside. then i would weld the body mounts lower on the frame to match the drop. does this sound like a good game plan? i chose this cuz it seems easier than hackin the shit outta body. plus i didnt get barely any info on the traditional way either, so if anyone can fill me in that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx, Ryan
P.S. Nebraska reppin!!

you no whats funny bro is that my buddy has a 82 courrier and we were talking about channeling it, i think it would be a hell of a lot easier and wouldnt take as long as long as you no what ur doing and can weld.

I was just gonna go that route cuz it seemed easier in my head. yes i can weld decently. where would you cut the floor for a traditional BD? and what about the pedals, dash and all that stuff?

OK... first off on a traditional body drop, you don't just "HACK the SHIT out of the body" The only body part that your cutting will be the floor board, back cab wall, and firewall. (Location pending on what your keeping). Stock floors are kick ass, however 9 times out of 10 you will have to modify the floor board in SOME way to make everything fit. If nothing else the driveshaft/tranny tunnel, but not nearly as dramatic as a traditional body drop. I have a step by step how to for a traditional body drop if anyone wants it please just PM me. It was orriginally posted by Leaf on SSM, but i saved it to my computer to help other people out. However there are no pictures to go w/ it.

The only questions I have about the channeling is how much frame is going to be above floor level?
