Not only for bodydropping. Some frames can't lay out w/ factory components. IE the old Isuzu Pup's and Chevy Luv's. Pretty much where the control arms mount to the frame rails you kick them up higher making a

pattern to give the truck more drop. It is however also found in a lot of body drops for the same reason. But can be used and done for other pourpouses.
