Ive heard so many different things when it comes to welding in my 4 link.. Im runnin a forward triangulated 4 link.. Do my bars need to be at a certain degree? and as long as i keep my leaf springs on while i put my bars in.. will it turn out right?? Whats the best way to put in a 4 link and make sure it all works?

okay. Heres my opinion. You really dont need your leafs in there to do it right just take em out there probly get in the way anyways. All you need to worry bout is your pinon angle of your rearend. Make sure you mesure everything like 4 times before you tack anything. There is no fast way to put a 4 link in unless you want shit to fuck up on you. lol. Its very time consumin but if you take your time and do it right then your never have any problems wit it. Oh ya make sure you mesure to get the rearend centerd on each side.

Yes keeping your leafs on is a great idea because ur pinion angle will not change at all, i see were the guy is coming from and i know many people who have done it, i wish i did it, because it keeps ur tires in line, ur pinion angle straight and such.

what about when your doing a cantiviler setup, still leave springs on or is it a whole nother deal?

does anyon got a picture of the air bag setup with the leaf still there, everyone i have seen has no leaf spring. is it because with leaf the size of the block you put will determine the drop cause i dont think they make a block that can get it to lay frame but i am new so i want to know cause i dont mine leaving my leafs in if i can lay frame.

i belive your rear axle will hit frame rails.

this is what i do.
1. put 2 peices of sheet metal under each tire.
2. put a scissor jack under the yolk.
3. put angle finder on rear.
4. Have 1 or 2 friends come over and just measure off a good spot on the frame that is the same on both sides for front to rear. Then measure from side to side off a good poinit on the frame. Then measure diagonal.
5. Check the pinion. if it is off use the jack to fix it and then dobule check your measuirements again.
6. Lay on your bars and make sure the bars are all the same length.
7. tack, then check measurements again
8. Put on bed to make sure wheels are centered
9. weld
