I just check the forum to see if this mentioned , but couldn't find it. Guys please help... what is the recommend rear setup (3link 2-link kp components 6-link)for a 86 B2000 Exc? What I am lookin to get out of this setup is a smooth rides n to lay hard on the pavement. I also plan to keep the 6-lug pattern, runnin chrome 18 Limited wheels, do have to narrow the rearend?

Thanks

well im not really sure about kp's links, but if you want a smooth ride just remember to keep your driveline between 3-4 degrees through out the whole travel to reduce vibration and keep your link bars somewhat parellel to each other, just check out bio customs, max will have all of what you need, and as far as your wheels, what is the back spacing on them, youll need to run atleast a 5-1/2 to 6'' of backspacing to tuck the wheels, if your wheels dont then youll have to narrow your rearend.

it all depends on your definition of a "good, smooth" ride. some will say that the stiffness of bag over axle is a good, smooth ride. but bag over bar is definately softer and smoother.

so any link setup, as long as the air springs are on the link bars, will ride softer and smoother than a setup with the air springs over the axle. im saying "softer and smoother" because the term "better" is shady. everyone has their own perception of better.

i'd recommend a 3link or 1 of the different types of 4links. the 6link is pretty much a 4link, but with the lift bars in the back. so those are good too, and will actually ride smooth from the factory, since they are bag on bars

That clears up alot because most of Mazda's I've seen hav the bag over the axle setup. I have heard that they don't ride and lay out well either. So thanks for that info.
