The truck would be driveable at this height with the box. But seriously, you guys have a car show for lowriders here in my city, and it will be a scrapefest! Our roads have been FAR from smooth.
I apologize for my ignorance and failure to understand that I have failed to observe the fact that the blocks are an add-on and not a substitute. I merely thought it came stock with a 1 inch block or something of the sort.
I'm pretty sure I'm not scrapin' the frame, although, I'll give it a checkin' tonight... What would happen if I completely removed the torsion bars? Would'nt my steering or alignment have to be recorrected?
I really don't want to invest any money on the suspension except the airbags, and thats a while away.
I helped my brother move his house, and only hauled the smaller stuff, and packed shit on! Nothing was stacked over the bed sides though. I would say it was 3-400 lbs., and the bumpstops were only probably less than a 1/2 inch. The ride was actually better, but I know my wheels had to be taking a beating!
My scrubline is literally probably only 3 inch from the ground, so I know it has to be either the bolts or shocks. I looked a couple days ago and there is grind marks on the shocks. So it definitely is that, that is bottoming out. I can also feel it grinding in the back, so its the rear.
I have to kiddy corner almost everything... it won't surprise me if I bottom out more often when I get the box in with the current ride height, contrary to your statements.
Explain to me how removing the blocks will make my ubolts closer to the ground? As far as I can resolute, it would be because the blocks are gone and there is more "free space".
On the other suspension thread I have, its about bigger rims. But I dunno if 20's are going to conflict with wheel wells, steering, alignment, travel, etc...
The advantage also to bigger rims is that I will be able to further space the scrub line from the ground! So less bottom-outs!
