Well I replaced my front shocks with a set for an Isuzu truck. They're about 1.5" shorter, and what lil bit I drove the truck around my work, they're really gonna make a difference. Well, while putting them on, I allowed all the weight to droop in the front hopefully releasing some of the tension off the torsions. I then tried to loosen the torsions about 3 more rounds. I've still got the one bolt on the pass side that stripped the threads when trying to tighten it after the BJ flip, but I've been able to loosen it some...or so I think. lol it's no longer my main problem.

On my driver's side, the t-bolt has turned on me before. Tonight I believe when I first started it was pointing front to back...wrong way...well in the process of trying, and I mean only trying cuz the friggin bolt won't move, the whole t-bar turned back horizontal like my pass side is...the right way. I drove the truck from the rear of the building to the front, purposely hitting a few light bumps and going on the gravel drive. It rode nice! So I get to the front, turn the truck around and back her in. Right when I get stopped I hear a "pow!" and feel the truck drop a bit more. I get out, thinking for sure it broke that torsion bolt, or I snapped a leaf lol. Well actually, the freakin t-bar came through the crossmember!! and made a nice indention into the pavement...cuz the truck was sittin on it lol.

Luckily, in my attempt to get the front end to droop more releasing the tension off the bars, I took out those 2 rubber limiting stops from both sides. I did throw them in the dumpster lol. With my front end sitting bumpstop bracket to control arm/ metal to metal, I decided I'd get those lil bumpers back out of the dump and put them where the bumpstops are sposed to be just to get that side up some and driveable to get it home. It worked pretty good. Lil bouncy, but other wise decent ride.

Oh yeah, of course I couldn't fit the jack under the truck lol. I had to use a 2x6 and a brick like ramp, and drove it up top of the board and brick, then the jack fit :p

So I guess tomorrow I'll run by the Mazda place and order my bolts like I should have Monday lol. Guess now I'll get those bars reindexed finally :p...I did mark it before pulling the bar out.

Just thought I'd share with ya's

What, did you used to drive a Civic or something?
1hotdawg   +1y
lol uh had a slammed 93 Protoge', with only about 3 full coils left. And 84 Escort lol. And my Civic actually had coil overs so it rode great

Btw I ended up having to cut the other bolt cuz the threads have stripped and it wouldn't loosen or tighten, so the side grinder got it Now I'm full ridin on the front rubbers. Not too bad but it is a lil bouncy Specially on the bigger bumps. Guess I'll order my bolts Monday.

when are you able to put pictures up?

lol no doubt! Tuckin tire up front again If it weren't for my snow tires on the rear lol I'd be lower at all 4 corners.

Workin on buying some air stuff from someone on here too Almost makes me not wanna go buy the new bolts lol and just save my $20 bucks for my baggin fund lol. But it'd be a few months before I'll prob be ready for the baggin, so $20 will keep me from tearin up something

I'll get pics tomorrow, the batteries weren't charged today
