Im new here and just bought a 91 B2200 extended cab yesterday. I got it for 1500 with 88k original miles on it and about 6k on a new motor. It had a hydralic setup on it when I got it. I pulled all that off and now Im in the process of putting bags on it. Ive had about 4 or so mazda in the past so I know my way around them a little.

What I need to know is the what side the top plates need to be for the bags in the front. Length and width of them. Im using 1/4" steel plate I just need to know what size to have them cut at.

Also what size steel tubing should I use in the rear for a step notch. I was thinking 2" x 3" x 3/16" and using that to build my notice.

Appreciate the help and you guys have a great site here.

DONT USE TUBE FOR A NOTCH...buy a notch kit for, what like 60 bucks...waay stronger as they have more weldable surface area.....and as for the size add your tire diameter to your axle diameter, then divide by 2 and that is the minimum height off of the ground that the bottom of the notch must be....but hey add an inch or so incase you wanna do bigger tires out back later on.

ok... I've seen many notches built with tube. I didn't want to have to weld together all of those piece and take a chance of it not looking that great with all the welds. Maybe I'll find someone to tig weld it together for me.

Now how about the front upper plates? Anyone have one sitting around they can give me a width and length on or can someone measure from their frame to the tip of it and the width of it? I would greatly appreciate it.

according to suicide doors, their front upper plates are 9.5" long and 5.5" wide out of 1/4" steel.
