I started my front bags today after a few days of tuning it up and tryin to fix a hesitation. I gave up on the hesitation for the moment to put the bags on it. It had hydraulics on it when I first got it. I took them off and ordered some bags.

First off is a couple of pics of the truck in my drive way. Its bottomed out in the front on the bump stops and the rear axle is sitting on the front.

Heres the work Ive done on the drivers side so far. The bracket you see where the shock tower was is the bracket for the hydraulic cylinder. I started cutting it out, but that thing is welded in there good. Ill get it out eventually since the control arm hits it when all the way down.

I didnt grid down the area between the bump stops because I am notching the frame with an 8" pipe so I can fit 2600 bags in the front. A thanks goes out to Robbie for posting pics of how he did it. Without those pic I probably wouldnt have attempted it.

This will be a complete work log for other to look at to help them with their set ups.

I've done 2600 bags in the front of mazdas, using the pipe looks good, but in a bind just making a notch with 3/16 or 1/4 works well also. Looking good!

Heres the second day of work. I have the drivers side notched and the LCA flattened out. I leveled out the passanger side also, but I ran out of cutting wheels and didnt get the notch done. Heres some pics. I painted over the metal since I probably wont get to work on it again until next weekend and I didnt want to have to deal with any rust.

These pics where takin in the dark so they are a little dark.

oh and I plan on notching the corners of the cup that hang below the frame. I did it that way do I could weld the lower control arm support to the back of it. I plan on taking another piece of pic and boxing off the lower area up see below the cut. Hopefully it will all tie in together and give it some good strength,

how far back did you notch the front frame for the 2600's

The notch is 1 1/2" back and the pipe was about 5/16" thick. So it should be a little more than an inch. Probably about 1 3/16" give or take.

EDIT: I just measured it and its actually right at 1" to 1 1/16" notch from the face of frame back to the notch.

well today was the day the bags should of went it. Well the 2600 bags arent going so well in the front. They are rubbing my notch in the frame and rubbing my ball joints. Im not sure how to go about making anymore room to fit them in there. I guess Im going to buy a couple of 2500 bags and put them in there.
