rear leaf mount welded...

I was going to remove my rear leaf to have it dearched when I noticed the rear bolt is welded to the hanger. Am I supposed to just cut that weld and replace the whole bolt with a new one? I dont think my last mazda was like this. It has a nut and lock washer on one end and the other side is welded to the hanger.

that is normal. it's there so you have less troubles breaking the nut loose, and it prevents the bolt from spinning, for any odd reason.

what i typically do is remove the front first, then the back and just slide it out from the hanger.

Thats what I had to do on my 90 B2200.
