Stacked bags

Has anyone ever seen or heard of anyone stacking bags on top of each other? I have a spare set of 2600 bags. Im thinking about building a bracket that will allow the 2 to bolt together and install them in the rear.

Part of me thinks this is a bad idea since I dont know how sturdy they would be like that. Figured I had them spares I might as well ask. lol

i wouldn't do it. i would think it would be pretty unstable.

i have heard on other forums (layitlow.com) that slam specialties makes RE series bags that are 2 bags bolted together with a special bracket but i've only seen pics of it. i haven't actually researched it

just buy a tri con. bag save ur headaches

BAAADDD Idea, the bag will push out the side.

you can do it, mount the bottoms togehter, and that way they can fill. i would never do it, i would just get a tripple stacked bag.

Sure, you can do it, but you have to take into consideration a few things. Here is an image from the Firestone design guide...

"STACKING
It is permissible to stack Airstrokes (one on top of another) to
increase stroke; however, the center plate (or plates) connecting
the two or more Airstrokes MUST BE GUIDED.
Please note that the air spring forces are not additive in this
configuration. A method for guiding, which also illustrates one
center ring concept for mounting the two parts together at the
middle, is illustrated below:
