wutz the better way to bag the front?

does anybody have pics on how to bag the front im kinda stuck on it? the reason i ask is cuz i seen ppl cut that metal section to get all the way to the frame but i dnt knw wutz the difference is better or should i just weld my brackets to that piece of metal i dnt knw wut is called so yea hope u guys knw wut im talkin bout thanx!!!
