Well who would have thought? It's the start of January,no snow in sight,my winter beater is pretty much toast and I'm pimpin in the Mazda again. 2007 is off to a fanfreakintastic start.

To make it even better,my truck is going into the shop on Wednesday so I can do my brakes and U-joint. I figured while it's in there,I may as well do my suspension at the same time. So today,I ordered a set of Toxic shocks and 3" blocks. I strayed away from the Belltech leafs and drop spindles mostly because many people are telling me I really don't need that stuff. Anyways, the shocks and blocks are running me $365 CDN. $77 each for the Toxics and $65 for the blocks. Not bad I guess.

So plans are to crank down the t-bars,flip the bjs, take out 2 leafs, put the blocks and shocks in,shave the bump stops and pimp the stock 14s till I pick up my new tires for the Pathfinder rims. I'm going with 195/50/15 Cooper Zeon ZPT's. They're $110 CDN each. I absolutely can't wait to get the truck lowered. I've been looking forward to this since last March when I bought the truck. I would have had it lowered over the summer, but I had to have my engine rebuilt,so that blew my budget at the time.

Once the suspension and wheels are done,I can start playing around with some bodywork, just getting things straightened, another shot of primer and maybe some flat black accents or a flat black/grey primer 2 tone.

Oh yeah,as far as ride quality is concerned,I'm really hoping this stiffens up the ride a lot, because driving this truck is like trying to run on a trampoline. It's got way too much spring and bounce. On a totally smooth road I'm being bounced all over the place like a pinball. I'd rather have a bone crushing ride than feel like I'm driving a 4 wheeled trampoline.

Anyways, here's a pic of the truck as it sits today. She's gonna be a lot lower next week!

Oh yeah, don't you just love the duct tape on the door to cover the bolt hole from the elephant ear mirror? LOL. That's my step dad's 2002 B4000 in the background. He's had it since new and he's just shy of 300 000km on it.

Toxic shocks...damn thats expensive, I have run monroes on every truck of mine for 26 bucks a piece, I just go to the local jobber and go thru the book to find the size I want.
