Today did not rock, it had so much potential to rock but it did not. It all started when I found my rear-passenger side rim sitting on the driveway. No big deal tho, hit it with the compressor and took it to the tire shop. Well... that was the rest of an ordinary day. The shop that put the new tires on over-torqued the lugs. They all broke off before they unscrewed. The shop charges a flat rate of $10 for stud replacement (x6) & $5 for flat repair. So yea, a $65 flat repair. The owner did offer me a part time job there tho. Might have to take him up on that. How was your day?

ok let me get this straight they F*cked up and broke lugs but charged you to fix em?? I am right or wrong? If they broke em I would have told them to fix em since they broke em... correct me if I read this wrong but I would have been hella pissed

...and then they offered him a job for cheap labour so he could work off the damage they did so he could pay for their stupidity.

But yes, that does definetly suck and I would have broken somebody's face.

Yeah pretty pissed about the ordeal. It wasn't their fault tho, they fixed and I paid for another shops stupidity. The tire had to come off or else it would have gotten a plug. The mechanic said they were on at over 200ft.lb of torque. He had to switch to a bigger impact to even move the lugs, and then they just sheared off! The face breaking will happen at the shop that put the new tires on. Minimum here is $5.25 probably what it would pay but it wasn't said tho. It would be night/weekend and give me the monies to actually get something done with my truck. Dunno have to think about this.

that sucks man, i used to work at a shop to like that...and whenever a mechanic broke something that was thier fault the customer had to pay to have it fixed! really lame but they can do it so why not right?!?
