would i be able to do side to side with a triangular 4 link or do i need a different setup??

You can do it as long as you have pivot joints on one end of your bars. I'm working on a wishbone link with super pivots so I can do side to side.

I can hit sides just fine!

I am running a Triangulated Forward 4-Link!

Good luck!

Yep should be no problem...super pivots, or johnny joints do help as they reduce the stress on the mounting points due to urethane bushing deflection, but they are not necessary....But the 4 link will pull the axle slightly when you drop sides....just be sure to check for frame and bedside clearance with your wheels.

As someone already pointed out, this is a fallacy... A triangulated 4 link will hit sides just fine with regular poly bushings. I hit sides just fine with my parallel 3 link with poly bushings....

Depends on the bushings, but normal 4 links with poly bushings will do fine. If you are planning on doing it all the time, i'd suggest some sort super flex joint.
