I would say that they would lift the truck, wether it's safe, and roadworthy is another dilema all together.

well i found this forum thread on i think 4x4wire were they had about 30 pages talkin about invented these a couple years back for the toyota's well i email the guy who is building these at his online page. said if we could send over a pic of the ball joint and upper a arm he would see if they would work or if he could machine some for us. since no-one makes lift spindles for our trucks.....

BIOKUSTUMZ would make a custom set for you..

Do toyota's run the torsion bar on the upper control arm? that's the only way it makes sense to me how these spacers work... if the torsion bar is on the lower control arm, then basically the ball joint spacer would kind of act as camber adjustment. the lower ball joint is the load bearing balljoint, so that means you'd have to space the lower one from the lower arm....
ask that guy that makes them and let us know!!! i'd be interested in a cheap lift for my ranger!

If you're looking to lift your B, check this dude's page out. He's from Mazdatrucking.com's forums. He had spacers made by Cando Specialties I believe, and can get you a set for $130...see his page below

In one of the other threads,I think it was carolinasled, who posted a link to a B that was 'done back in the day'. The guy mentioned he lowered the truck by cranking his t-bars and installing ball joint spacers.

So,I assume they could be like a drop block in the back maybe? Kind of like flipping the ball joints, but using a 'block' to give you the inch of drop instead of turning the bj's upside down?
