lowering my ride

i just bought some 3" blocks for my truck, will they bring the rear end down quite a bit of just a little, i'm not ready to bag it just yet but i do want it to look lower than stock, will this acomplish what i'm wanting or do i need to do more?

install monoleafs also
add drop shocks, or air shocks if ya wanna use the box for cargo, this will barely clear the frame and you may want to shave the bump stops

oh yeah, bell tech makes the leaf springs, and there are many diff shoks to pick from

will the truck look alright with just the blocks, or do i need the springs to do it?

It will look fine with the blocks just remove the bump stop or shave it down. Are you running stock wheels and tires or some thing else

I disagree, IMO if ya wanna level it out, with a decent drop out front, get the springs, you can remove some leafs if you want from the original pack but it was not designed to work that way and may be too soft of a spring pack.
Besides the monoleafs are inexpensive and offer decent performance.
spindles are not too expensive either, aprox 200 USD AIM ind.
You should use a larger wheel to do that with, I think at least 16"s will not rub when turning

just imagine your truck 3" lower in the rear. you'll most likely want to crank your torsions a little too to level it out. who knows, they might have sagged enough over the years and the 3" block will level it out.

Ive got a nissan thats lowered with just blocks out back there 3" and i turned the bars down just enuff to level it but Its your truck you might want to go lower

i know from personal experience that 3" is never enough. you'll be cool with it for a week or 2 heck maybe 3 weeks. then you'll think it needs to go lower. i think we all know what i'm talkin about

^ I agree 100%. I only planned to static drop my truck,then after I did and saw how low it was,I said it wasn't low enough because it wasn't sitting on the ground. So now I'm already looking into bagging it over next winter.

Anyways,back on the topic at hand,I static dropped my truck with 3" blocks,and have it mono-leafed. I run Toxic drop shocks at all 4 corners,and in the front my ball joints are flipped and torsion bars cranked down,and the truck is on stock 14" wheels and it sits much noticeably lower and sits dead even front and back.

From stock to how my truck is lowered now,the back end dropped over 6" by using 3" blocks and monoleafing it.
