i had a 7inch bag setup over my axle and it rode really rough. i don't recommend it. bag on link is the way to go

It really depends on how high you drive and what type of driving you do. For a smooth riding truck that you need decent lift out of, a leverage setup is great, but it will wear bushings out faster.

For hard driving, and perforance cornering, the bag over axle is better.

But even then it depends on bag size, brand, wheel weight, rearend weight, rear suspension type......

I personally run a 4 linked rear, triangulated ( front and back triangulated, which sucks ass) and 6 inch bags on the outside of my frame, inside my wheels.....and I love it. But then again my truck is considerably heavier than the old mazdas.

I usually don't like to copy someones work - but with a set up like Seths - it is hard to not wanna copy it.

If you have to do bags-on-axle you want to use F9000 or similar sleeve bags. They have a low enough spring rate to actually ride nice throughout their travel instead of a large double-convoluted bag that is only riding 'nice' because it's able to get away with low air pressure.

true!^^^^
the only down fall to those bags IMO is they're only 1/4" port - i dont think they're offered in anything else

It doesn't slow them down that much, my buddy has them on the back of his Mazda. 200psi and his rear damn near hops.

but how slowly does it go down? i've seen plenty of cars with them and they're pretty damn slow. nowhere near hopping!

It's not that slow, but I don't recall exactly. It's been awhile since I've ridden with him.
