No offense, but that looks terrible. The plywood really sets it off.

I just bought it like that. I've had the truck for all of 3 weeks, get off my back. I haven't had the time and money to replace everything yet. Once I make some mounting tabs for the valves this weekend I'll be able to get rid of it, and besides it's MDF not plywood. lol

It looked even better before, lol.

Like I said, no offense. I don't know the history, or if you did it or not.

Yea, I just got it. It was a cheap truck that runs good, and the suspension itself is sturdy, but the air management stuff is all sub-par. It's just something for me to drive so I'm not trying to make it look stellar, but I'll clean it up a bit and the wood will be gone soon.

What are thos blocks that were on it before that the airlines go into? Are those those oldschool two way valves?

Those are the old mac valves I used a set of those in the early 90's they are like 1/4 ports and maybe 120 psi well thats what mine were and by the looks of those they might be 2.

I don't know if they were mac, but yea they were 1/4" port, about 120psi max lol

Its a big pro to mount them on the tank. The reason is because most valve these days do not have remote piolets, soooooooo if a air line burst or gets messed up you will loose air in that line. Thus if that line is directly in your tank, you will loose ALL your pressure and your truck will be stuck wherever u are at. Sooooo if you brake a line, (I never have, but i've seen people pick up some messed up stuff on the road) and your valves are on the tank, u will loose presure on that one corner (assuming u are running a 4 path setup) and thus be able to get your vehicle in most cases to a better spot off the highway.

Also as far as fittings, u will save 2 more expensive fittings and use one extra cheap nipple. I only use DOT Parker fittings and they seem to work the best so far, i won't use the cheap plastic SMC fittings sold by SD.
