need help with the top part. what does the angle have to be to get it to lay?

Someone back me up with this, cuz i havent done it (right) yet, but i believe the corrects way to find the angle of your top bag mount is to get your lower one on, put your bag compressed on the lower mount, put your spindle/tire on your c-arms, jack up the tire so its level with the bottom of the frame, then tack in your top mount, remove your tire & bag, then fully weld it in..

ok i didnt have the tire on put jacked the lower arm up and then welded it in. but when i put the wheel on it wasnt laying

you must not have jacked the jack up high enough so that if the wheel was actually on the truck the bottom of it would have been level with the bottom of the frame

when i jack it up i didnt have the tire on the truck just the spindle

I don't even put the tire on to see if it lays. I use this thing called a tape measure. A couple measurements and you can tell if it will lay or not.

Heres a good angle.

i also cut 3" off my top plate. should i add it bck?

A tape what??? Hahaha. Yes a tape measure does work wonders. Now if we had only been taught imperial measurements.

wht do i measure? and wht should it be? srry tht i sound like a dumbass but this is my 1st baggin a mazda and i want it to be right

measure your tire and divide that number by two. that's the spindle to ground measurement. measure from the ground to the frame on both sides and measure from the spindle to the ground to determine if it'll lay out. as for the question about putting the 3" back on... use your better judgement.
