ok so my truck has a reverse 4 link on it from when I bought it and the guy had no clue how to install it in the first place. I'm switching everything out and reinstalling it forward, but my problem is it seems the drive shaft has honed out the transmission and any time I raise the truck above the tires, fluid pours out of the transmission. The axle looks to be at least an inch forward from where it should be. My question is will I have to replace the whole transmission or is there any kind of seal where the yoke is?

try replacing the seal.. it may be tast though..the seal is only a few bucks

Cool, so there is a seal there. Would you happen to know if that needs to be pressed in or something I can do myself? Thanks for the help.

yea find a socket that matched the size of the seal and tap it in... make shure to put some oil on the new one first.. * this is assuming, i have nevver done this on a b series before* can anyone confirm?

piece of wood and a hammer coat it in what you run in the tranny then stick it in the hole then tap it home with the hammer with the wood between so you don't mess up the seal

As long as the yoke isnt burried into the tranny your good man just replace the seal, its not bad at all. But if it is you can kiss that tranny goodbye.
