Whats up everyone. ive been drivin my truck low for a while now, but the rear hits the frame. I wanted to Cnotch the frame but i noticed there are different shapes and styles. is there one better than the other? do you guys prefer one over the other style? like there are ones that are curved kinda like rainbow shaped then there are the usual ones that are like more boxy... anyways just wanted an opinion.

Also what is the best way to go about doing it? weld them on first then cut the frame? or measure it out and cut first and weld after?

And same for the bed? whats the best way to go about cutting the bed to make room for the Cnotchs, and axel?

anyone have pics of how they did it?

a lot of times c notch and step notch are interchangable terms with certain circles of people. i like to say a c notch is the small notch in a stock frame and a step notch is the bigger notch that most people run with airbags. a static drop will only need a small c notch. or more often just referred to as a 'notch'
as for shapes... its whatever you like more. i like the hex shape for the step notch, but a round one for a smaller c notch. i personally don't really dig the triangle or round step notch, or a square 90 degree up and 90 degree over style. but that's me not you. you can also run some tubing up and straight back to the rear, not ever going back down - kind of only having the first half of the notch and forgetting to come back down.
all are usable, but depends on what you are doing.
as for cutting out the bed... measure and measure and mark where you wanna cut and measure again. use the body mounts as reference points.
sorry i don't have pics of how i did it.
