ok so im new to mazdas and want to lower my truck a bit more. i think the previous owner already cranked the torsions down for about 2" of drop. can i get anymore of a drop from cranking them more? and if i can will this screw up any alignment in the front end?

I wouldn't crank them any farther I would actually pull them out and index them so the torsion end does not sit lower than the frame and you will have to cut out the bump stops soyou don't bottom out.

how do you index them? i was reading about it last night but couldnt figure out what was actually happening maybe i should read it again.

unbolt the adjusting screw and hammer them out. (they are prolly rusted solid so a torch, if able, would be really good). clean them up, grease them, move the a couple slines and put them back in. by moving i mean rotate them so the bracket that the adjusting bolt goes thru is closer to the crossmember.

good discussion here, I would like to see a tech on this, as this is the first time I've seen somebody try to explain it, the lack of correct english in yer post makes it a little unclear, pennywise, lol

I think ya meant to say

1 unbolt the adjusting screw
2 hammer the torsion bar out
3 clean them up and prep the for re installation (greased)
4 from the original alignment, rotate the postition of the torsion bar and realign the splines(make sure its the same on either side)
5 go get and alignment

Is that right?
am I understanding correctly?
Pics would be useful I dont have any or I would post em,

I would like some clarification on this too.

yeah i think that i am finally getting the concept of how to do this. i really wish i could find some pictures to go along with each step though just to make sure i have the right idea in my head.

bad english? what are you talking about? i spoke/types perfectly good.

lol, it just does'nt read well.
It is a challenge to communicate to others in a way that is understood without speaking directlyto them and being in the same room, ie context imagery and grammar etc. are all intangables.

I aint pickin on ya the message was just not totally clear, when it was read.
But in person it would have probably made sense.
