on the tri 4-link are all 4 bars suposed to be equal length. thanx

i think some setups are and some arent. i know the set that i have is all the same length. i've never bagged a truck just read and researched so the other guys can give you a good solid answer.

thanx and thats pretty much what i figured cause of where u mount the bars or how long ur lowers are

design your 4 link around what characteristics you want your suspension to have. the bars dont necessarily have to be equal length, the longer the bars the larger the arc of travel is, this equals to less forward movement of the axle throughout travel. the amount of pinion change is determined by distance difference perpendicular to the frame between the forward and rear pivot points of the upper bars, and the forward and rear pivot points of the lower bars. the closer these two numbers are the less of a change you are going to get in the rear-end angle. heres my shitty ms paint diagram enjoy haha.

yep pretty much. i like them to all be in the same plane, like the drawing. no pinion change.
