just curious how high on the frame should i mount my top bracket
and if i might it high enough i should be able to lay out with out having to cut right>?
ive seen alot of guys say back n fourth that you have to knotch a little bit
but other guys say if you have to notch nething to drag crossmember consider re mounting top bracket
nothing like a good ole picture for an answer. but it depends on what size rims and tires you are using also. whether you have spindles or not. a little more info would help. but i think most people are putting them right above the hole in the frame
i guess it really dont get any clearer then that.....
you dont have to notch it but its going to give you less metal to burn into when you weld your plate yea you can gusset it but id rather take the time and notch it and also gusset it then you have that much more insurance that everything will hold together
the piece were the outside support for the a arm goes down the outside of the frame look in the above pics you should be able to pic out what were talking about
