i was just wondering what other extra-cab b2600i owners did about their carrier bearing on the driveshaft. my pinion angle is set close to stock and my wheelbase is right on factory specs when im aired up but ive still gone thru 2 carrier bearings. like the old rubber around the bearing just rips after a week or two.. anyone got any solutions?

get your drive shaft balanced

Well, I have a 93 26ooi ext. cab F.I. and I have a one piece driveshaft. Do all 2600's have a 2 piece driveshaft.

my 2200 has a 2 piece and I had the replace all the rubber and everything on mine but the bearing was the wrong size on the inside so I had to special order it.. you may check your balance also like they said

Well shoot, does the truck shake at all? I've never heard of this, but if it needs a balance the truck should shake at some point to a noticable degree.

it doesnt have any vibration. Just after a while, the rubber will rip and then it just kinda bounces around after that. I have a lot of lift. From laying frame, i got 13inches of lift. so i think i might be just pushing it to its limit. But i really like having that much lift because it doesnt attrack cops.

There was another guy on here recently who kind of has the same problem as you. You want to make sure your pinion angle is good through the whole motion.

If it is'nt vibrating, it has to be pinion angle..

or possibly lack of lubrication, like when you forget to lube a bearing seal, the rubber to metal dry contact will ruin it.

At full lift, is your driveshaft pushing into the carrier bearing?

Speedster, check your messages. Plz.
