why is everyone saying that it is not a good idea 2 mono leaf these trucks and how can i give my truck a better ride i got 3 in blocks in the back with cranked tortions and all of the bump stops in but if i remove the bump stops then wont it hurt the frame when it bottoms out

i ran a monoleaf with no bump stops for over a year. you'll get some weird wheel hop and traction issues tho. what i did to solve that was just an upper link. it'll keep you from getting axle wrap

the mono leaf can break...and as far as bump stops go .....go to your local parts store and buy a set of energy suspention after market bump stops they are red and about two inches around and 1/2 thick.........they run like 10 bucks..i have them on my truck ...or pm me and ill get you a link you can buy them online

I have run a mono leaf on mine for over 2 years now and 80,000 miles and had no problem with it...

the idea of a mono leaf is a bad one. everytime you hit the gas (foreward and reverse) it rocks the axle foreward and backward. a lowering block magnifies that effect. when the wheel hops (such as when doing a burn out) thats the axle wrapping and snapping back into place. when i say wrapping, i mean kind of taking on an 's' shape, and then snapping back to the regular 'u' shape. that can and will lead to failure of the spring or ujoints. i wouldn't do it, but thats me.

Our Truck Was Mono Leafed With No Bump Stops For A Long Time The Only Prob We Have Is Tire Wear But Thats Normal For Changing You Ride Height. Its A Rough Ride Too But We Also Have Bad Shocks In The Rear And Bad Ball Joint Bushings Lolz But So Far No Problems Really.

I dont see anything wrong with being lowered and mono leafed, but bagged and mono leafed....not a good idea. The constant change in ride height puts the leafs under too much stress for the leafs to handle. Personally if I could just settle for a lowered truck, I would do a parallel 4 link and coil overs.
There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. And a fine line between functional and retarded.

^^ true, but if you wana run leafs, get a set of belltech's lowered leafs, or have yours de-arched, much safer than running mono....

^^^ also true. most people don't want to shell out those pennies for the lowered leafs, or pay to have them de-arched.

tire wear in the rear is not normal no matter what height... your leafs shouldn't determine your wear.
