you'll have to TIG the stainless, and TIG welding is not cheap and to spell out MAZDA and B2200 or whatever, that will be a lot of time getting all the peices lined up and fit correctly. it definately will be one off and definately not cost effective. cool tho!

Huh, I mig stainless all the time... just get the right wire, use 308 wire for 304 stainless and you will be fine. But yeah you could have it tigged up if you wanted to.

why not just have the letters cut from say, 1" thick steel, then welded TO a regular tank....... then line-x or paint the tank, and have it flush mounted?

MUCH easier solution.....dont ya think?

suppose you could. i've never seen stainless welded any other way then TIG'd. my bad.

MAN THAT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU COULD DO THAT FOR ME SEEING THAT THE ONLY WAY I WAS GOING TO BE ABLE TO DRAW IT UP MYSELF IS ON PAPER WITH A PENCIL. THANKS

COST IS AN ISSUE TO A CERTIN POINT BUT, I WANT ONE OF A KIND THINGS. SO ILL PAY WHAT I HAVE TO BUT ALSO TRY TO SAVE SOME MONEY BUY DESIGNING (DRAWING OUT AND GETTING YOU GUYS HELP ON THE SPECS.) THESE THINGS I WANT. I DO APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP YOU GUYS ARE OFFERING. ITS GREATLY APPRECIATED

1" THICK STEEL? THAT THING WOULD BE SO HEAVY IT WOULD TAKE A FORK LIFT TO PUT IT IN THE TRUCK

Y Not Just Stamp Mazda In The Wall Of The Tank? Itd Kinda Be Close To What You Want And A Whole Lot Easier. Wouldnt It Be Hard To Get The Right PSI In The Tank If Its Irregular Shaped?
gravity5   +1y
Psi has no relation to tank shape, although air velocity might and it might not flow well, but PSI wont change. And you could stamp it, but then you would have to get dies and stamps produced that are capable of stamping into 3/16 plate, and then you will need like a 50 to 100 tonne press to press them in, and I dont think harbour freight carries those anymore LOL...

Oh and send me specs on dimensions and I will see waht I can do for a cad drawing, Oh and you might be better off to get them machined from steel or stanless billet, just an idea. and then weld caps on the back end, far less welding and far less leaks.

I see, i told one of my friends about it and he said the same thing u did except he also said that all the welds on the tank have a good chance of exploding
