ive been looking at alot of pics and for the front, i seen pics with the bottom of the shock mounted 2 different ways where its attached to the lower control arm. Some of them have 2 ears and the shocks mounts there and others have like a bolt coming off and it mounts on the bolt. which is the best way to mount it?? my shocks are like the stock ones( the two ends). to me it seems like the one with the bolt coming off is the best way but im inexperienced so would like some input.

Whatever works best in your situation. What you can do on a stock control arm, is use a 5/8" bolt, and a piece of 1" 3/16" wall DOM. I cut the tube to the right length, then cut a slot down the top of the tube wide enough to weld into (1/4" about) and drill a few holes farther back to plug weld the bolt to the inside of the tube. This is the easiest way to do it at home with limited tools. I like to make them on the lathe, but I realize not everyone has one.

wut if i just weld the bolt straight onto the lower arm with out the tube???

Chances are it might bend, or even brake off...

ok so do i just grind down the head and get some tube and put over it??

Then what happens when you tighten the nut? Theres another 3 inches of bolt and the shock can slide around...

i was thinking of welding a washer on it so it wouldn't move around

I guess you could do that if you don't care how it looks.
