the banging is definantly the shocks bottoming out... it took me like 3 days to figure it out... till u can get drop shocks just crank the torsion bars back up a lil, and flip the joints... it'll be fine till ur ready for shocks, then u can go a lil lower again.... if u cant find the write up lemme know, ill tell u how ..... it is veeeeeeeery easy... but requires a saws-all or a dyr grinder

I plan on flipping the joints possibly this weekend, and I figured it was the shocks banging...

thanks for all your help, i love this site

i'll post pics once i get it down

There is basically no reason to flip the balljoints on a mazda that is not bagged... of course that is just my opinion... and as for the rear, I would recomend a dearched leaf over a block, or a new leaf pack... didn't belltech make one?? blocks are crap.

when i flipped my joints, i got almost an inch drop... just a hair over 3/4... it only takes about an hour to do.... so i think its worth the effort

sounds worth it to me, but what do i know...

well even if you dont want to go lower its still nice to flip them because you gain back a little bit of your suspension because the torsion bars arent twisted quite as much. and yes belltech does make 3-inch drop leaves for out back.
