is a parellel 4 link a good 4 link choice for a mazda? i dont have one yet but i do plan on getting a reg cab, short bed, maybe 2200, and baggin it on front and back. i was just wondering if these link kits are good, and comfortable, and daily driving worthy on a mazda? any help will be appreciated, thanks.

you dont want to do a parrallel because they move side to side a little bit through out the suspension travel. you dont want this because there is already minimal room to allow the rims to tuck.

i would say yes but a triangulated 4 link is the way to go. with a parallel 4 link you will also need to run a panhard or watts link. a watts link would be best because a panhard will still allow a little side play when lifting your rear. with a triangulated there is no need for a panhard bar or a watts link.

its not gonna be a daily, i just want it reliable enough to be one. im just looking for a real clean, simple setup. Are there any major down falls to the parellel 4 link? other than the side to side movement. Is the ride good or not? thanks

Parellel 4 links are a great way to go, but you still need either a panhard rod or a watts link to control side to side movement. You really shouldn't run a 4 link without. I imagine you want to go parallel rather than triangulate to avoid relocating the gas tank. consider a three link like mine.

You could offset the upper "wishbone" to one side and still run the stock gas tank.

yea, ill run a panhard bar. relocating the gas tank isnt that big of a deal, ill prolly do it anyways and put a fuel cell in to clean it up. i just want somethin clean and simple. thanks for all of you guys help. ill prolly start a thread when i start bulding it so look out.
