**edit, sorry bout that pimp, the link doesn't have the video, someone had the link to the vid a while back, and it had a real good explanation of what your looking for....
pimp, did you watch any of that video I told you about the other day?
it explained how to do this pretty good, and gave several helpful hints to make it easier on ya....
before you remove any of the rear susupension, take a plumbbob and make a mark on the frame (inside & out on both frame rails) this will be the center of the axle housing on the frame....once you remove the leafs, take the u-bolts and turn them upsidedown then tack them to the frame to where the axles centerline is lined up with the marks you made with the plumbob on the frame rails that will hold the axle inplace while you weld in the bridge. next make a mark @ the center of the bridge surface that will run parallel to the ground, that mark will need to be centered over the mark you made on the frame rails with the plumbob, then line up the bottom of the bridge with the bottom of the frame, and pick several places to weld the bridge to the frame. now is when you'll weld in your links so that they are all lined up right, once the links are installed, and even the bags, cut the tacks on the u-bolts and let the axle down out of your way, then cut the section of the frame rails out from the center of the bridge. cut filler pieces to cover the open parts of the frame rails. hook up your air system to the bags, replace the bed, vwala your sittin pretty!
