does anyone have the actual size dimensions for a 8 inch frame notch?will be making my own and just want to make sure it will be big enough!!Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Sold as an 8-piece weld together kit. The measurements for the 8" are 12" tall, 12" wide at the top, 21" wide at the bottom, 12.25" wide at the inside bottom, and 6.5" wide at the inside top.

We also built are own...well my son did in shop class. We took the 8" notch and built them like they sell. we ended up cutting i think 2" off the bottom to bring them down so they didnt stick up so far. The bottom of the notch is about 2" above the top of the frame rail and that is layed out with 245/45/16 in the rear and i still have about 2" before we hit the notch. If i can add when you build them leave one side off so you can weld the inside.

You can weld the inside with both sides of the notch on. If you are going to do this you need to brace the top first or the notch will pull itself in towards the weld. If it doesn't pull in, you didn't weld it hot enough.
