Hey I was just have a question,if anyone can help me out I was wondering how you center the c notch in the frame I have read that you mark out the center of the axle then move it 1/4 inch towards the front of the truck to make up for axle movement I have a universal 4 link kit that is also going in the truck any info would be great thx

I use a plumb bob hung over the center of the axle, draped over the frame, and draw that line on the frame with a white pencil, marker, or chalk, whatever floats your biscuit. Then measure side to side from that mark to center the notch. I don't move the notch forward for axle movement, I just center it stock, and put the axle there when its laid out, and try to keep it there also at ride height.

Hey twisted when you are taking this measurment of the center of the axle do you have the axle bottomes out against the underside of the frame or in its stock location or does it really matter?

which brings me to my next point i guess I have to get some hard drawn brake line and re bend it in order to move the brak proportioning valve or whatever sits beside the axle on th passenger side

the first thing that my eye catches when a truck is layed out is how far off center the wheel is in the wheelwell. if its too far foreward it looks sooo bad. to prevent this, center the axle in the wheelwell when layed out. some people might argue the point that it should be in the center of the wheelwell at ride height, but where does your truck spend most of its time? layed out. where does your truck get most of the looks? layed out. so center it layed out. the wheel/tire is pretty much centered at stock height, so you can hang your plumb bob off the frame at stock height. just be sure to level your truck out first, otherwise your notch could be installed in the wrong spot.
you don't need to go get new brakelines made to move that thingy... i always thought it was for ABS but whatever... if you are careful, and don't kink the lines, you can move it and re-route your stock lines. what i did was remove it altogether. just hooked the hardline to the flexline. just remember to bleed the rear brakes afterward.

did it make a difference? as far as braking goes? I'm not 100% sure as to what it is exactly either
speedster93b   +1y
since most of the braking capability is in the front of any car or truck, it didn't make a noticible bit of a difference.

Yah that thing is for the ABS. Its basically worthless, you wont notice a difference.
