i think i saw a post on here a long time ago that you can use shocks from a 77 mustang or something and they work as drop shocks cuz they're shorter. is this true? or are there any other shocks that work as drop shocks for mazdas?

I highly recommend ProComp Toxic drop shocks. I have them on my truck. They are absolutely incredible. They're shorter, but stiffer and well damped, giving you a very compliant ride. Not to mention they're beefy as hell.
