Well I need some opinions on a few things before I get to building my control arms. Should I use cross shafts in the arms and have them mounted how the stock arms are? Like this:

Or have them mounted like this:

Or just do away with the cross shafts completely and use heims like seth did on his yota?

I think the last two options are better and allow for more adjustment when getting the truck aligned. Im kind of leaning toward the heim joints but I just wanted to get some other input on the subject.

Personally I don't like option number two. That open tube is an eye sore, a place for dirt to collect, and ultimately a failure point.

I would rather see you use one of the other options.

But this would possibly be the best option.

It will be smoother and quieter since there will be bushings at the frame, and you still have adjustment of your camber. I would just make sure your caster is correct, or that you can adjust it via the lower arm as intended to do stock.

You could also use a slotted upper mount like this to adjust camber and caster, like is used on most Chevys now.

As long as your bushing and inner sleeve are the correct length, it will stay in place when tightened.
