what are you exactly wanting to know, what type of vehicle are you wanting to use the irs from?

yeah, i guess i should have given more information. here is what i will be doing after texmex 08. i have an irs out of a 2nd gen rx7 that i am going to install on my 83. and i want to do the bags facing from front to rear behind the axle. i just sent a message to max at bio kustoms on what i am doing but i need to hear as much as i can about different ideas and concerns. i know i have to do a backhalf for the irs anyways so now i just need to figure out how to do the cantilever. i know how it works but need to learn more about the geometry of it all.

Mind To Metal have a sweet mazda with an IRS Cantilever setup...

Here are some pics:

You might try and contact them:

As far as getting the material cantilever setups are very specific to each setup...You could try and get some universal canti brackets somewhere, but it wouldn't be worth your time...I would layout your design and find the pivot points, then get ahold of Joel at Mindliss Metalfab and get some CAD drawings setup...

Here is a vid of an awesome cantilever setup, it might help:

Hope this helps...

a few more pics. If you need something drawn up in cad I can do that for you if you want. I can make a 3D model of parts it to if you want to see how something would look.

to be quite honest i think cantilever will be easier than tryin to put the bags on the trailing arms it was a royal pain and im still not entirely happy with my setup......keep me updated
